Hi, everybody!
We have ready the Raise 2 v1.4 - Beta 8, and we’d love for you to test it.
What’s new from v1.4 beta 6
- Improved chording behavior for Superkeys. They will behave like Add a Key on Tap (formerly known as Dual-Function keys) if you only configure TAP and HOLD. And now you can add extra modifiers to TAP and HOLD. For example: CTRL+C on TAP and CTRL+SHIFT on HOLD.
- Fixed a bug where, if you had only two of the five slots of a Superkey assigned, only Tap & Hold would work.
- Fixed a bug where, if you pressed a Superkey and an “Add a key on Tap” key almost at the same time, the Superkey would always trigger first.
- Fixed a bug where Bazecor wouldn’t show that the battery is charging when the keyboard is wired. Instead, it shows the sides as “Disconnected”.
What’s new from v1.3.1
- More accurate battery readings
- Improved UX on low battery. The keyboard won’t dim the lights at 20%, which caused unwanted flickering, and the low-battery warning will start at 10%.
- Refactored superkeys:
- The Superkeys will now trigger the HOLD function when you press another key while holding the Superkey. To avoid unwanted triggers, you can increase the Minimum Hold Time of the “Add a key on tap”. This will be a separate setting in the near future.
- Fixed a bug where a Superkey with multiple modifiers didn’t “hold” them.
- Fixed a bug where you couldn’t use a Superkey in combination with another Superkey.
- Fixed a bug where modifiers wouldn’t work on Tap&Hold onwards.
- Fixed a bug where CAPSLOCK didn’t work when assigned to Superkey.
- Fixed a bug where the modifiers on a Superkey would affect the keypress before pressing the Superkey.
- Fixed a bug where layer changes on Superkeys would always return to layer 1.
- Fixed a bug where Superkeys behave weirdly when used on a layer you accessed with another Superkey.
- Fixed a bug where the LED Toggle would not work correctly on HOLD.
- Fixed a bug where holding a superkey would not repeat the keypress while holding it.
- Fixed a bug where shifting to a layer using a Superkey, Superkeys on those layers will only work on Tap and Hold
Known bugs/limitations we’re working on
- When you update the firmware, all your Bluetooth connections are reset. To restore them, go to your system settings, click on “forget device,” and then re-pair the keyboard.
- The keyboard might blink very briefly both in use and when resting with the LEDs off. On some rare occasions, the LEDs might come back on.
- In wired mode, there’s a small delay on the LEDs when switching layers. One side will be faster than the other side.
- In wired mode, the keys set to black might have a faint red backlight.
- There are still some inconsistencies with the LEDs on the right side when switching Bluetooth devices.
- During Bluetooth pairing, there’s a small chance that the neuron resets, causing your layers to be lost. You can restore them under Preferences > Backups.
- When saving changes to your LED colors, the right side might not update correctly. Turning it off and on again will show the correct colors.
Here is how to flash it:
